Comping with groove for standards from Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and others
When it comes to jazz and swing, your sweety uke can hold its own with the big dogs. One might even think that Miller, Goodman, and co. were just waiting for us to play their arrangements on the ukulele – those classic big band swing hits are just made for it.

In this workshop, it's not just about developing solid jazz comping in the style of Freddie Green – that's the foundation, and we will pay close attention to it. Beyond that, we'll focus on the melodic dialogue of the songs – the "Call & Response" between melody and the big "kicks" of the rhythm section. To make these accents in comping really pop, we'll work with different chord voicings, similar to those used in chord solos. This isn't just about simple scale playing.

Voraussetzungen
For slightly advanced players with some experience: You should be able to strum rhythmically and play barre chords confidently. You know what a "scale" is and ideally have already played some swinging melodies.
